GREECE TRAVEL DESTINATIONS

Travel Destinations | Greece

I have been travelling to Greece for over 20 years and have been to most of the main tourist attractions such as the Parthenon and Acropolis in Athens. I have spent many an Easter or Summer Break visiting my in-laws in the foodie and culture capital Thessaloniki. However, I must attest to the fact that the Cycladic Island always amaze me. Travel destinations

The Cycladic Islands are a few hundred islands in the Aegean Sea Known for its unique culture and cuisine. Many are only accessible by boat and so this at times means travelling to Athens then taking a ferry to your Island of choice. This Summer 23 saw me travel to Paros and Milos

Below  is a short Itinerary and perhaps a short guide of where I went.

Arrived at Paros Airport via Aegean Airlines and headed towards Parikia, the capital of Paros. A small seaside town known for its castles, numerous beaches and bohemian cool bars. Whilst here, I spent my time beach bumming at Marcello Beach watching the beautiful people pass by in their beautiful swimwear and drinking a glass of Rose whilst I was at it.

For those looking for more family friendly beaches and less house music thumping on the beach, head towards Faragas Beach. A long stretch of sandy cove a bit South of Parikia with shallow warm waters perfect for the little ones.

Let’s not forget the beautiful town of Naousa a true magical realm of white lanes and alleyways, high end shops and the best places to eat. We spent our time gorging on fresh fish and Pulpo at Barbarossas

MILOS

Arrived at Milos after a 90-minute ferry ride from Parikia. Rather bumpy so endeavour to take anti-sickness tablets prior.

This time we stayed in a quaint VRBO apartment in front of the sea in a small seaside village called Pollonia in the Northeast of the Island.

There was a little private beach 2 metres walking distance from the apartment, so my first point of call was to Jump into the deep blue waters of the Aegean. Foodwise, Milos is awash with traditional and fusion cuisine, and you cannot go wrong. We spent our time at Milos Appostolos in Adamas.

You can’t go wrong with the plethora of beaches that Milos has to offer. I promise after one visit you will fall in love and never one to leave.
