Our team is small but fun. Summer is basically over but autumn isn’t fully here, or at least it feels like it isn’t. Every one of our editorial staff picked out their September fashion favourites.

Pat – My September Fashion Favourites

Androgyny is in. Gender fluid outfits tend to be bold and stand out from the norm which is why my picks are *special*, they will most-likely be the focus point of your outfit. Gender norms are still valid in clothing but if like me you like to dress both masculine and feminine you will hopefully appreciate my picks. I like to dress both masculine and feminine, I also see myself as both feminine and masculine. Now that gender non-conformity is more embraced by the public we also have more gender non conforming style icons to inspire us.

I get my style inspiration from a variety of people and films such as Grace Jones, Annie Lennox, Prince, Dev Hynes, Brigitte Lundy-Paine, David Bowie, Jeremy O. Harris, Björk, Patti Smith, The Matrix (obviously), French New Wave cinema, Trainspotting, The Talented Mr. Ripley and many many more. Films are always a good place to start.

When picking outfits I like to achieve androgyny, I don’t necessarily do it by choosing gender neutral clothes but through balancing out masculinity with femininity. A sheer or crochet top with a pair of statement earrings and feminine bag will typically be matched with straight-leg trousers and loafers. A silk dress with lace up leather boots and a buzzcut. A suit and long curly hair. The options are endless.

My personal no-nos are cheap badly made shoes (trust me, cheap loafers will hurt your feet A LOT), neon clothing (unless it’s translucent/sheer), zircons or sequin clothes (sorry not sorry, it’s tacky imo) and 2000s fashion.

Yassin – My September Fashion Favourites

If you were to ask me about my favourite style, I would have to say I like to mix it up from time to time. However, I really do have fun when it comes to classic style. Classic style to me represents so much fun because you have the ability to choose what style you want to wear, and what era of classy clothing too. Whether it be from the late 80s or early 2000s, you can never go wrong with classic clothing in any context whatsoever.

Classic style is often labeled as boring or plain however this is slowly changing. In my opinion its slowly becoming one of the most versatile and expressive forms of fashion out there. Classic fashion allows people to express themselves with a variety of items, bold colours and patterns. So whether if you’re into all black suits or louder designs, the limits for classic fashion are truly endless.

With classic style fashion there is something for everybody regardless or age, gender or race. My personal sources of style inspiration come from people like David Beckham, Omar Sy and Idris Elba (just to name a few). They never cease to amaze me with their choice of outfits!

Historically, classic style has been around for a very long time and the unique thing that I like about it is the fact that the style and its hype have never died down over the years. Fashion designers like Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford and Donatella Versace have revamped what it means to wear classic style clothing. By stepping outside of the box to add more new ideas and inspire more people to dive into the world of classic style.

Recently I have been drawn to classic fashion because I was heavily inspired by Omar Sy. He recently starred in a Netflix TV drama called “Lupin”. Sy’s character Assane is seen throughout the show in classy suits, long woolen coats and flat caps. This style of classic fashion is certainly one that I will be experimenting with this month.

For my monthly favourites I have selected a variety of clothing pieces, shoes and accessories to add to your outfits. With classic fashion there is something for everybody and you cannot say that with all fashion styles. Regardless if you’re going out for a casual walk or meeting up with friends you cannot go wrong with some of these pieces. From long coats to blazers, jumpers to dresses, loafers to brogues and so much more my list has got your classic fashion needs covered.

Chloe – My September Fashion Favourites

If you asked me to sum up my style I’d say it’s a mix of minimalism and streetwear. As a self confessed sneaker heads, I like to keep my outfits relatively simple but make a bold statement with a killer pair of kicks or a bold graphic t shirt/hoodie. The great thing about streetwear (aside from comfort of course) is that anyone can adopt this style. So for this month’s favourites blog I curated a range of pieces for both men and women.

For my shoe picks: I wanted to bring some attention to the Nike Waffle One, which in my opinion is probably one of the most underrated shoe this season. Now that autumn is approaching too, I also wanted to include some of my favourite high top Jordans on this list too

For my clothing picks: With the weather starting to get colder it means that I can finally go back to rocking some layers! While I love to wear a simple graphic t shirt and a plaid shirt, sometimes I like to bundle up a bit and rock a hoodie with a bomber or puffer jacket. In my opinion streetwear and layers are a match made in heaven.

For accessories picks: When it comes to putting an outfit together, I like to keep the colour palette of my outfit relatively simple. But recently I’ve been obsessed with brightly coloured belts, the yellow industrial belt from Off-White has become a recent favourite of mine.
