Originally dedicated as a pagan temple in 126AD, the Pantheon in Rome was converted to a Catholic church in 609 AD. Its form, details and general aura provide inspiration for the design of this piece, The Open Pantheon Ring. The ring’s exterior mimics a signet, with two 4mm sapphires flanking a central hemispherical opening. The internal hemisphere is punctuated by a circular opening, or oculus, at the bottom and accented by recesses inspired by the Pantheon’s ceiling, which add depth and texture to the piece. The final detail can be found on the ring’s underside – recesses carved into the sterling silver which add further depth and interest. The minimal silhouette and considered details of the Open Pantheon Ring make this piece an easy addition to your everyday wardrobe.
