We recreated the style of 11 iconic film characters: Neo and Trinity from The Matrix; Mathilda and Léon from Léon: The Professional; Dickie Greenleaf and Marge Duval from The Fantastic Mr Ripley; Vincent Vega and Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction; Margot Tenenbaum from The Royal Tenenbaums; Tony Montana in Scarface and Mark Renton in Trainspotting. We have of course made sure the outfits are great for everyday wear and not just for halloween. The items in this blog are from a variety of fashion brands: luxury, independent and high street. Don’t be surprised if you’ll catch a few loving glances when wearing one of those outfits – you’ll look great!
THE MATRIX BY LANA AND LILY WACHOWSKI
Nothing beats the all black outfit and chunky boots. We have a lot of love for a majority leather look.
LÉON: THE PROFESSIONAL BY LUC BESSON
There is no other story about a bad ass young girl and a hit man becoming friends. The looks served throughout the film are just as bad ass as the characters.
THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY BY ANTHONY MINGHELLA
Originally based on a story by Patricia Highsmith. The film visually looks serene but behind it there is a dark story. Of course Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law look stunning and stylish together.
PULP FICTION BY QUENTIN TARANTINO
Yes, yes. I know – it’s Pulp Fiction AGAIN. However there is no lying, this scene and those outfits will be remembered for many generations to come.
THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS BY WES ANDERSON
This film is so aesthetically pleasing that it is impossible to describe it in words. Just like any Wes Anderson film tbh. However majority of the outfits are exaggerated or comical. However Margot’s Tenenbaum’s style is impeccable and will look good when replicated in real life.
SCARFACE BY BRAIN DE PALMA
Iconic film full of iconic outfits. Nothing more to add.
TRAINSPOTTING BY DANNY BOYLE
If there is ever a year where I don’t see young men attempting to replicate the style of Mark Renton then I can officially say it is no longer cool to look like Mark Renton. For now, it is still a solid and cool look. I would rip up those jeans up a bit (or just wear them so much that holes naturally appear duh) and run through mud in those converse. Neatness isn’t really a Renton thing.
