The Fire & Hide Classic Tote is handcrafted using the finest rescued leather accentuated by our signature decommissioned fire-hose and finished with a reclaimed parachute silk lining. A great all day bag for those that like to carry more. Designed to be held in the hand or carried over the shoulder, our Classic Tote has an inside zip pocket and 2 additional poacher-style pockets.
WHAT CAN YOU FIT IN THERE?
Being the same size as our full fire-hose Tote Bag it is large enough to keep everything you need for a day out: iPad or small laptop, phone, purse, keys, reusable water bottle, lunch box, book, scarf and flats.
The Fire & Hide Classic Tote is crafted through a transformation of leather fragments from the production of Burberry leather goods. Our craftsmen individually cut and hand weave, piece by piece, these otherwise lost scraps of leather into whole new hides. The Fire & Hide Collection is the sumptuous blend of our signature fire-hose and rescued leather. The limited nature of our rescued materials means we can only ever create a few pieces in each variation.
We are excited to be able to offer so many variations of the Classic Tote. Every option includes handles and trim in Elvis & Kresse’s signature decommissioned fire-hose, which was previously deployed in active duty for up to 25 years, fighting fires around the UK.
THE FIRE & HIDE COLLECTION
In 2005 we fell in love with London’s decommissioned fire-hose. Determined to save it from landfill we took this lifesaving material home, gave it a second chance, and vowed to donate 50% of the profits to the Fire Fighters Charity. But fire-hose was just the beginning.
Every year, 800,000 tonnes of leather ends up on the cutting room floor. Our leather partners cherish their hides, but no matter how carefully they cut their patterns, there will always be small seemingly unusable offcuts. To rescue this leather we developed a unique modular approach. We hand weave these fragments into whole new hides then lovingly recraft them into sustainable luxury bags and accessories. Our commitment to rescuing British fire-hoses remains the same, the trim, handles and internal detailing of the Fire & Hide range are all made from genuine decommissioned fire-hose. And we continue to donate 50% of profits to charity.

Shipping Policy
Goods are usually dispatched on the same working day if you order before 15:00 UK (GMT) time. Some products are made to order and so may take 2 working days to dispatch - stated on the relevant product pages. All products are sent either with a courier (a signature will be required) or via Royal Mail 24 (no signature required). We can ship to most countries around the world, but if you require any further information, please contact us. Shipping to the UK is free on orders over £100.00 Shipping to the EU, North America and other International destinations is free on orders over £200.00 Goods are shipped on working days, Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00. Any orders placed outside of working hours will be dispatched on the next working day.
Return Policy
We really hope that you will like your purchase, but in the event that you so not, you may cancel an order from your account before it is shipped. Please note that if the item is made-to-order you can only cancel the order before it is shipped, provided that the garment hasn’t been altered or made yet. If you receive an item and wish to return it for any good reason you must inform us and the seller in writing within 14 days of receiving it, clearly stating that you wish to return the item. This can be done by simply going to the buyer dashboard in the top right hand corner in the user menu options section of the page and view the order, then click on request a refund and send the seller a message with your details. Provided the reason for returning an item is fully reasonable, we will provide you with return address details for the seller and the Seller will then provide you with instructions on how to return your item and once your item is received back, they will process your refund through PayPal. Please note that return postage is your sole responsibility unless the item is incorrect or faulty, in which case the Seller will refund the return postage. If you cancel your contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 any standard shipping charges that you have paid to receive your purchase will be included as part of your refund. Please note that the Seller may refuse a refund if the garment has been made according to your precise measurements or made-to-order. The items you return must be unworn and in their original condition, taking into consideration you right to inspect the item and try on the garments. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you package the returned goods adequately so that it arrives back to the Seller undamaged.
