Previously deployed in active duty for up to 25 years, fighting fires across the UK, the hard-wearing fire-hose is perfectly suited for your daily commute. This classic shape will fit a 14″ laptop and has both an internal zip pocket and a padded full-width open pocket for your tablet. The bag can be carried in the hand and also comes with a detachable strap that enables it to be worn comfortably on the shoulder.
The Elvis & Kresse Compact Briefcase is made from genuine decommissioned fire-hose and the lining is reclaimed military-grade reclaimed parachute silk.
We also offer a Limited Edition ‘Print Room’ Compact Briefcase. Made from reclaimed printing blankets combined with our signature decommissioned fire-hose, this version makes a bold statement. The re-engineered printing blanket creates a visually stunning textile that is strong and beautiful to the touch. This iteration maintains all the design features of the full fire-hose version as described above.
THE FIRE-HOSE COLLECTION
We fell in love with London’s decommissioned fire-hose back in 2005 through a chance encounter with the London Fire Brigade. We took this lifesaving material home determined to breathe new life into it and save it from its otherwise inevitable end in landfill, and vowed to donate 50% of our profits to charity.
For over a decade we have been rescuing all of London’s retired fire-hose by lovingly handcrafting them into sustainable luxury bags and accessories. Every year since, Elvis & Kresse have donated 50% of the profits from the Fire-hose Collection to The Fire Fighters Charity. This heroic material, once used to save lives, gets a second chance to keep giving back.
Our Fire-hose pieces are more than just a collection, they represents a whole new kind of luxury. One that is sustainable, ethical, transparent, generous and kind.

Shipping Policy
Goods are usually dispatched on the same working day if you order before 15:00 UK (GMT) time. Some products are made to order and so may take 2 working days to dispatch - stated on the relevant product pages. All products are sent either with a courier (a signature will be required) or via Royal Mail 24 (no signature required). We can ship to most countries around the world, but if you require any further information, please contact us. Shipping to the UK is free on orders over £100.00 Shipping to the EU, North America and other International destinations is free on orders over £200.00 Goods are shipped on working days, Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00. Any orders placed outside of working hours will be dispatched on the next working day.
Return Policy
We really hope that you will like your purchase, but in the event that you so not, you may cancel an order from your account before it is shipped. Please note that if the item is made-to-order you can only cancel the order before it is shipped, provided that the garment hasn’t been altered or made yet. If you receive an item and wish to return it for any good reason you must inform us and the seller in writing within 14 days of receiving it, clearly stating that you wish to return the item. This can be done by simply going to the buyer dashboard in the top right hand corner in the user menu options section of the page and view the order, then click on request a refund and send the seller a message with your details. Provided the reason for returning an item is fully reasonable, we will provide you with return address details for the seller and the Seller will then provide you with instructions on how to return your item and once your item is received back, they will process your refund through PayPal. Please note that return postage is your sole responsibility unless the item is incorrect or faulty, in which case the Seller will refund the return postage. If you cancel your contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 any standard shipping charges that you have paid to receive your purchase will be included as part of your refund. Please note that the Seller may refuse a refund if the garment has been made according to your precise measurements or made-to-order. The items you return must be unworn and in their original condition, taking into consideration you right to inspect the item and try on the garments. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you package the returned goods adequately so that it arrives back to the Seller undamaged.
