As mid summer approaches fashion is starting to enter it’s transitional stage into the autumn season. Fashion trends for spring summer 2014 featured several; providing a perfect cross over into the cooler months. Summer fashion delivered us cool, care free styles such as denim dungarees, over sized slogan tees and inspirations from the 90’s.

The nineties influenced many collections this season including edgy floral styles, twin set looks and platform shoes that proved a huge hit for the festival season.  Slogan T-shirts have thrived this summer with celebrities such as Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora sporting this popular trend.  As the festival season gets underway, fashionistas take the opportunity to show us what’s hot for the summer season.  A massive festival fashion hit included the boxy crop top. Celebrities that loved this trend included Ellie Goulding in her signature cropped top and shorts combination and Katy Perry in her top and skirt combo’s.

The floral trend is revamped every season with lighter tones for spring/summer and darker shades for autumn/winter. They provide the perfect option to keep your wardrobe up to date with a little refreshing twist added each season. Prints get bolder and brighter and designers create intrigue and interest with quirky creativity and alluring desirability.

As autumn/winter 2014 approaches some trends start to make the transition into the future season with a slight update for the cooler period.  The 90’s still feature in the upcoming season with a slight sports luxe feel with designer Tom Ford showing us this trend is still a hot topic.  The coordinating trend takes on an updated twist with classic tartans and deep reds featured in Vivienne Westwood’s Red collection that gives a fabulous restructured trend into autumn/winter 2014.

Several trends are successfully making the transition in the new season and have proved popular and accessible for all.  Each designer has captured a new approach to recurrent trends and given them a new lease of life as they transcend into the forthcoming season.
